Niagara Rigging & Erecting is a single source provider for your structural steel erection, fabrication, detailing & project management requirements. We specialize in the erection of steel buildings and bridges of all kinds. NRE has sustained over 30 years in the Structural Steel Industry and our commitment to our customers has gained us integrity and respect with many local business owners, steel fabricators and contractors alike.

Niagara Rigging & Erecting was founded in 1988 by Bill and Linda MacLeod and has been family owned & operated for over 30 years in the structural steel industry. Bill was the Construction Manager for the erection division at Hodgson Steel. In the late 80’s, Hodgson Steel began slowing down in the structural steel industry and shifting its focus to rolling. Niagara Rigging & Erecting emerged when Bill purchased the erection division assets from Hodgson Steel. The first big project was for Magna International, erecting a polycon plant, servicing the big three automakers for plastic mold injection. From there, the company has completed many large and small scale projects.

Employee Safety
Each employee is provided with a company orientation upon hire. This orientation provides the employee with a thorough understanding of the company’s policies and procedures. Over and above company orientation is detailed job specific training.

Job Specific Safety
All projects are unique in their own right. At the onset of every project, we consider all ‘site specific’ potential hazards that may affect the safe performance of our work. We develop safe –work and engineered procedures for items such as access, rigging, crane selection, critical lift analysis and fall protection. Procedures put into place early in the project mitigate significant risk for our field crews.

Our people are our biggest asset. NRE employs many hard working and talented individuals including, coordinators, project managers, administrative support, mechanics, shop hands, foreman, operators and ironworkers.

Our growth and success is a testament to the efforts of our people and our team work culture.
