NRE Role: Erection & Deck
Year: 2021

Overview: UTS was a monumental project for NRE. The existing building was built in 1910 with double-wythe masonry brick walls which in some areas of the existing school needed to be reinforced with heavy masonry lintels and columns to facilitate the new ground breaking additions. The addition consisted of (4) main areas of focus. Courtyard steel with a feature stair, the underground Gymnasium with roof girders, Stair C & corridor linking the existing building to the new and the Auditorium. The Auditorium featured a massive truss that also supported the balcony which made erection challenging. Due to the complex design, temporary posts were required in many stages of erection throughout the entire Project.
