| Overview: | NRE was contracted for erection only on this 269 FT long 3 span box truss pedestrian bridge over the busy QEW in Mississauga Ontario. The main span over the highway was assembled, pre tensioned and inspected prior to lifting in one piece. The main span is 177FT long weighing in at 97,100 pounds. It was erected during a 4 hour full closure of the QEW on a Saturday night, with a 620 ton crane. |
