The mandate was to construct Canada’s first elevated go cart track in a one of the busiest tourist areas in the country, Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls ON. The track is a three story helical structure, combined with an undulating rolled ramp, which is the first of its kind. The track structure is fully galvanized and the guard rail system is high performance painted, over top of galvanizing. For employee operations and rider safety, open stair towers were installed for access and egress. NRE also supplied custom rolled and galvanized bumper rails at the track level. The main challenges were the intricate geometry, dealing with a sloped helical structure and the high performance paint system required to maintain ‘the look’. |
