The structure for this build was compact and heavy, with emphasis on vibration control. To support the architectural feature façade, there was an entire secondary system of steel installed outside of the main structure. The interior involved silo supports, platforms and conveyor galleries. The main project challenges were specialty painted exposed structural steel (AESS) and tight geometry, featuring curves. This building will provide processing for waste biosolids in the Region of Waterloo. |
