Overview: Rapid erection of new TPG span’s over HWY 27 in Vaughn Ontario. This project consisted of 2 stages and one span each year. Erection began late Friday night after road closure. NRE worked around the clock to complete erection on the weekend ‘work block’ before Monday morning rush hour traffic. The erection was completed ahead of schedule on Sunday evening for each span. The bridge consisted of through plate girders each weighing 80 tons and 127 ft long, including bearing installation, miscellaneous metals, guardrails and grating walkways.
